Short Bio

Prior to joining the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Villanova University in January 2011, Dr. Kwuimy, worked in South Africa as postdoctoral research associate at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (2009-2010) and as Research and Teaching Assistant (2007-2009) at the Faculty of Science, University of Yaoundé 1- Cameroon. He holds a PhD in Modeling and analysis of autonomous electromechanical systems from the University of Yaoundé 1- Cameroon. His areas of research interest are nonlinear dynamics, vibration analysis and control, diagnostics and control. He authored/co-authored over 30 good quality peer-reviewed publications in international journals and conference proceedings, and two book chapters. Dr. Kwuimy serves as reviewer for high standard journals and conferences and was granted for the several short term research visits at, The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Italy (2009), the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, South Africa (Victor Rothschild Fellowships, 2009) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Villanova University (2010).
