Matt grew up in upstate New York and was interested in science and engineering from a young age, inspired by his father, John. He came to Villanova in 2012 as a presidential scholar enrolled in Mechanical Engineering. During his senior year, he was involved in a water resources project in Madagascar and had the opportunity to visit the country to test the solution.
